Canoeing with the "Minons"

I don't have any pictures of the day that we had on Saturday before I had to go to work. We woke up really early and picked up Camron and the Canoe, and made our way over to Dobson Ranch Lake. We had a lot of little "Minons" ( Scott's way of saying little people, that are his little friends) waiting to go out on the lake in our Canoe. This is one of our favorite past times to do, we inherited this canoe from my Step-Dad Delbert. It sat in his back yard for like forever, and then one day my mom called and said do you want this huge canoe. We jumped at the chance to own a canoe. It has brought many joys. We have found a fondness with taking it out at Woods Canyon Lake and fishing with it. Scott took out all of the kids in the canoe many many times. They all pretty much wanted a chance to use the oar. That was a great scene to see a little child under the age of 6 trying to row the canoe forward. Three of the "Minons" wanted to help with the taking of the canoe out of the lake. They pulled with all of their little 3 year old muscles. They pulled it out with Scott at the helm. Then they wanted to put it back in, and scott said no we were done with it in the water, so they plus all of the toddlers crawled into it to play in it until scott pulled the canoe to the SUV. Fun times. We will have to do this again, but the next time we need to do it up north!!

Hey guys! I planned on coming with Alexis that morning, but we ended up having "issues" that we needed to figure out that weekend. We so would LOVE to come to the next one. Sorry we weren't able to make it this time though. From what I hear, it was a blast!

Emma had such a blast in that canoe. I am glad we were able to get her out. I think besides you Scott, she went the most. I think she might take up rafting in her later years.
When are we going camping? I hear it is in a few weeks, is that true?

We are going camping this weekend. It is our ward camp out. We are willing and most likely able to go anytime after this.
